In the last few weeks, we have helped more animals by funding emergency treatment, here are just a few examples:
A kitten with a broken leg - £300
A cat with a severe leg injury - £200
An ill dog requiring X rays and scans - £200
A poorly kitten needing tests - £160
We are running low on vet funds right now and really need your help for one of our residents.
Gunther came to us in April, rescued by RSPCA Officers as he had been living rough for a long time and he was really poorly. He was dirty, terrified and had the most awful ear infection.
Four months on, he is a different cat in many aspects. He looks amazing, his coat is shiny and tidy, he is now much happier and he's a super affectionate boy - the only thing we can't get on top of is his poorly ear! Despite many different treatments, the infection keeps returning and further investigation revealed that our lad has a mass/lesion right down his ear which will keep causing him pain and infection unless it is removed.
The surgery Gunther needs is called Total Ear Canal Ablation which involves removal of his diseased/infected ear canal. Although major surgery, once completed and he is fully recovered, he can look forward to a bright and happy future, pain and infection free.
The surgery is going to cost £455 even with a great deal from our awesome vets and we really need help with the cost. Could you donate a little something towards Gunthers' treatment, he is the most wonderful lad and we want to get him booked in as soon as possible.
