A brand new Volvo FH 540 Globetrotter XL 6x2 tractor unit has been added to N D Young Transport's fleet - with early fuel figures suggesting it will save the company £7,600 annually, versus the rival 520 hp truck its driver was operating before.
Supplied by Russell Woof, Area Sales Manager for Truck and Bus Wales and West, the FH will be paired with a Fruehauf bulk tipper trailer and used to deliver aggregates across the UK.
Features include updated styling and a driver-focused interior, incorporating a fully digital 12-inch high-res instrument display.
The truck is on a hire purchase agreement through Volvo Financial Services and will be working five days a week.
